Yum I know. So cute, right? Like a cupcake only…smaller. I made these little guys for my choir family, and I must say I think they were a hit. These peanut butter chocolate chip cupcakes have tender chocolate chip sponge, and are topped with creamy peanut butter frosting. Pour yourself a glass of milk, because […]

Easy Peach Cupcakes with Bourbon and Cinnamon Swirl Frosting!
Yum If there’s a better taste than a fresh summer peach, I don’t know what it is. Seriously. They’re so good. I love peaches, and I always have. So, I decided to dedicate this volume of my Boozy Bakes series to the most delicious summer fruit: the peach. These peach cupcakes have some seriously delicious […]
Refreshing and Simple Grasshopper Cupcakes: chocolate and mint, not actual insects.
Yum When I announced I was bringing Grasshopper Cupcakes to my rehearsal on Monday, the initial reception was mixed. One person asked if they were based on cookies….what? No. (I have since learned that there is a grasshopper cookie.) Another friend asked what exactly made them “grasshoppery,” subtly asking me if there were insect parts […]
Easy Irish Whiskey Cupcakes! I do battle with my old nemesis: caramel.
Yum Oh, caramel. My old enemy. Once again, I have been defeated. Fear not, I have just included dulce de leche in its place in this recipe, but nothing makes me feel more frustrated than seeing a beautiful golden brown caramel CRYSTALLIZE into little grainy clusters. Caramel is evil, and I feel like it consciously […]

The Best Strawberry Daiquiri Cupcakes: Boozy Bakes V. 6 and my “awesome new gadgets” addiction.
Yum This weekend, I was treated to a bridal shower. I was super overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support at this event, and I am deeply grateful to everyone that attended. Not gonna lie though, I also liked getting presents. I really think it isn’t fair, because I am ridiculously easy to shop […]
Easy Chocolate Fireball Whiskey Cupcakes: A unique boozy bake packed with cinnamon flavor!
Yum As documented in my post about my caramel appletini cupcakes, I have had to develop a relationship with the tiny liquor store in Clermont as part of my boozy bakes series. The proprietor of this slightly seedy establishment has greeted all of my questions like “will the alcohol in this tequila cook out in […]
Easy Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes with Rum: my take on a pina colada!
Yum This weekend I went home to good old Michigan to visit my parents, and while I was there we created these Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes with Rum, which is Volume 4 of my Boozy Bakes series! I had to do a little experimenting to get these little guys just right, but I really loved […]
Caramel Appletini Cupcakes: Easy, quick, quirky, surprising, and…. green.
Yum Welcome to volume three of my Boozy Bakes series: Caramel Appletini Cupcakes! Now, I’m not going to lie to you, I had my doubts about this one, guys. Green apple? In a cupcake? How does one even do that? Won’t it taste funky and fake? But I really enjoy a nice appletini, and I […]
The Best Tequila Sunrise Cupcakes: Boozy Bakes Volume 2!
This cupcake is the second in my Boozey Bakes series, and it is one of my favorite college cocktails: the good old tequila sunrise. The sunrise element comes from two colorful ingredients: orange juice and grenadine (or that sugary cherry juice that is in the bottom of your maraschino cherry jar.). The tequila element comes from… tequila. Go figure.
